    PPI Judicial Review 01/25/2011
    0 Comments

A Judicial Review commenced today after the BBA (British Bankers Association) challenged the FSA over it applying new rules for dealing with Payment Protection Insurance complaints.

The BBA have challenged the FSA because they believe that through new guidelines which the  FSA issued in December,  The FSA is trying to apply new rules to previous sales and this is the reason for the commencement of the PPI Judicial Review.

If you have been mis sold Payment Protection Insurance, and would like to apply for a refund. Please contact us on Free Phone 0800 840 4034 or apply online

What is Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) 11/06/2010
    1 Comment

Payment Protection Insurance or PPI as it is often referred to is an Inusrance Policy which is meant to cover your monthly payments on loans, credit cards & mortgages, should you become ill or unemployed.

Over the past decade, Banks, Lenders & Credit Card Providers have mis sold PPI to many of their customers.

As a result the Financial Watchdog, The F.S.A has fined many lenders such as Egg, Capital One & Alliance & Leicester among others.

Millions of people who have been mis sold PPI are now claiming refunds from the Banks & lenders who mis sold them.

If you have been mis sold PPI in the last 10 years even if the loan/credit card has been paid off, you could still make a claim and receive a full refund of your premiums. To start your claim http://www.reclaimservices.co.uk/claim-review.html

UK Banks face 5 Billion Pounds reimbursement to customers for Mis Sold PPI 10/27/2010
    0 Comments

    • UK Banks could have to pay a staggering 5 Billion Pounds to reimburse customers who complain about mis sold Payment Protection Insurance Policies.

The Competition Watchdog has for many years been investigating UK Banks possible mis selling of PPI which would normally cover the customer in the event of sickness or unemployment.

Britains Competition Watchdog have estimated that customers have been overcharged approximately 1.4 billion pounds a year from the sale of Payment Protection Insurance.

There are currently 12 million outstanding PPI Policies in force in the UK. According to Morgan Stanley, if one fifth of customers make a claim for mis sold ppi & almost half are upheld. Bank could pay on average of £2000 for each 1.1 million claims.

In August 2010, The Financial Watchdog, The FSA introduced proposals that the banks handle ppi complaints & redress customers fairly. There has been a judicial review brought by the British Bankers Association whether the FSA can apply new standards to past sales of PPI.

Self Employed Builder wins over £10,000 for mis sold ppi against Barclays Bank 07/22/2010
    2 Comments

A Self employed builder from Hartlepool wins over £10,000 for mis sold Payment Protection Insurance Policies sold to him by Barclays Bank.

Over the past 10 years Mr Alberts (name changed to protect identity) had taken out four loans with Barclays Bank.

He needed the loans to help get his business started. He had paid off three of his loans but he had one loan still outstanding which he had taken out in 2006.

Mr Alberts had heard about Claims Companies being able to claim back Payment Protection Insurance  (PPI) if it had been mis sold. When MrAlberts took out his first loan, he was unaware that Payment protection Insurance (PPI) was optional and needing the loan badly he took the bank assistants advice which was if he took the PPI, he had a better chance of getting the loan.

Over the course of six years Mr Alberts continued to take out loans with Barclays Bank with the PPI (Payment Protection Insurance).

He instructed Reclaim Services to deal with reclaiming his ppi (payment protection Insurance) in April 2010 and received a refund on all four of his loans with ppi in July 2010 for all premiums paid plus interest with Barclays Bank.

A note from Reclaim Services- More and more customers we find are saying that they have been told they had to take out PPI (Payment Protection Insurance) to get the loan in the first place.

PPI (Payment Protection Insurance is an optional extra, in the case of Mr Alberts or any other self employed person, it is unlikely that a self employed person would be covered by a PPI policy and therefore the policy is mis sold.

If you believe you have a mis sold ppi (Payment Protection Insurance, contact us on 0800 8404034 or Complete the PPI Claim Form.
